This is my reeeally old character, Kija. She just wandered into my head one day, wistling and talking jibberish and she hasn't shown any sign of leaving since. Even though I never write about her and hardly ever draw her, she remains in my head.
No one is quite sure about that wierd girl who sits on the corner all day. She'll do a magic trick for you if you toss her a coin, a flock of pidgeons out of her hat or a boquet of flowers pulled from thin air. Most think she's a little touched in the head, she acts like a child most of the time, but whats even wierder is the fact that one minute she'll be talking and behaving like a ten year old and suddenly she'll say something that cuts to your very soul, a statement that is infallibley true. She has few customers anymore and she will probably move to another town to sit at a corner in.
The ferret she keeps with her at all times is just as strange as it's mistress. It can act with human like intelligence and has been known to talk to certain people. Rumor is that Kija was once one of the most powerful magicians in the world, capable of incredible magic and destructive spells. However, in a fierce battle with a rival wizard she was placed under a curse of terrible power, that shattered her mind and left her the child-like street performer she is today. The ferret was said to be her brother, who was cast under a transformation by the same wizard who cursed his sister. This is quite viable, as the ferret often seems more intelligent then Kija herself.
Kija has a tendency to group with other odd-balls and wanderers like herself. She will often remain with an adventuring group for a wile, fighting evil using her little magics and her giant hammer, but she will always leave when she feels the urge to wander again, or she feels she is needed somewhere else, or she just gets bored.
She's awesome...I LOVE the expression on her face and the top hat totally kicks ass. Not to mention my obsession with ferrets ^.^

I sort of remembered it as I went along... it's been a wile since I drew her.

She is kind of tricky to draw. The thing is, I've been drawing her for YEARS and it comes almost a little too easily to me. I have trouble drawing her any differently... I'll have to redesign her sometime. (cooler costume, nicer hair, keep the hat)
